Rigoberto Gomez, Assistant Principal

Mr. Gomez serves as the Assistant Principal at Vargas Elementary and brings over 20 years of educational experience. Mr. Gomez began his career in Southern California as a 5th grade elementary school teacher before moving into school leadership, where he has supported both elementary and middle school diverse communities.

Mr. Gomez is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and families and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive school environment where every student feels supported and has access to high-quality learning opportunities. As an instructional leader, he works closely with teachers and staff to ensure they have the resources and support needed to help all students grow academically and socially.

Mr. Gomez is proud to be part of the Sunnyvale community and lives locally with his family. His child attends Vargas Elementary, which makes his work especially meaningful as both an educator and a parent in the community.
